2 p.m. notes

Right, those who can access N.O. dot com will have noticed a change in header and a post.  Yep, I made it in but am not saying how.  I've also found the culprit - right bstds they are - but 'nuff on that.

Plan is to run N.O. here for at least this weekend and see what happens.  As stated at the other site, they may still have tricks up their sleeves.

As for comments here, they appear to be working and now for a mini-poll - given that Blogger will only allow two reasonable options - moderation or captcha - and given that most of you have run the gamut of both, which is the less bad option?  I know you'd prefer me to be back over there but that's not possible just now, maybe for a few days.

Is the nature background here a pain or is it good?  Do you prefer plain?  Plan is to keep this running parallel and serviced but the WPdotcom site is only an archive now - it's rubbish inside, WPdotcom, clearly not for serious bloggers.

Lastly, many thanks to mine host at N.O., plus haiku, Chuckles, DR, Toodles, AK Haart, Andy and Rossa's mother at this point of publishing - stalwarts all.

1.  Comments

Your comments are getting to the site but I don't know what obstacles you're facing, what with being inside.  Here's the panel I fill in:

I want one:

6.  Seriously, no idea what this is about

... but feel I should know and shall explore it later:

Why N.O. has ceased to exist

There's been a fair bit of time since Friday morning when all this started and I've been through every move I personally can at this end, including but not limited to those mentioned in screenshots below.  There are still one or two I could set in motion but am not going to.  I have five devices and have used all, with and without LAN, still producing the same result.

The essential thing to understand, for those interested, is that while much of this is just a case of cascading tech errors in a few countries, not just the UK, there's also a bit of stick involving people with agendas, from the high and mighty tech giants to more humble people - at the same time.

It involves understanding that it could be at any level at all where the issue is - it could well be a bloodyminded airtime provider, it could be the giants' war with each other to secure our custom, it could well be the anti-spam doing this, it could be something far more personal.

As I have no way of working that out, I'm not going to worry about it because I could feel it starting to impinge on heart and that starts medical issues.

Thus, unless it resolves itself from somewhere, e.g. from the US, then N.O. as we know it has ceased to exist.  There is a part data base copy and that's to look at further down the track.

Here's the issue

Appropriate cultural appropriation

This is N.O. for now

This site rather than the Word Press Dot Com version will be the main N.O. either until tomorrow mid-morning or until after the rally in Tulsa, or until late June - and late June is for this reason:

Though I can intermittently get into the main N.O., it's too erratic and if I'm shut out as I am now, with comments still on, that is not a good thing.  I do not wish to keep annoying mine host asking him to turn them off, certainly not in the middle of the night.  They are off over there now.

Just what Blogger changes are coming you can be sure will be bad - as bad as Word Press's and to have to have an app to rid us of them, then that's the most stoopid thing I think I've heard in a long while.

However, let's press on for now.

Trooble at t’main site agin

There’s a post by me here:

The second worst deal in our modern history

Click on pics to embiggen, keep clicking until embiggened.  I most humbly suggest to the learned gentleman that it very much DOES NOT give the option of 'later' walking away - since when has the EU EVER allowed anyone to 'walk away'?

This shows the same very British 'let's have fair play here, chaps' mentality which the other side most certainly does NOT subscribe to, no way. It is the second worst deal in our modern history, counting Chamberlain's as third, on the grounds that that one did not actually get off the ground. Other than that, he makes some good points:

Pat on Brexit

The definitive statement:

Of course, the truth is the diametric opposite of what the Remoaners say - the EU is the little backwater and Britain, after March, can trade freely with the world under WTO rules, take back its fisheries, make its own laws again ...

But only if the traitors are removed one way or the other. Deselections have started so we'll have to see. In olden days, this was very much a capital offence of the Remoaners.
