The bedrock of society is the family, the bedrock of the economy is small business and the self-employed.  All efforts must be made to protect both, to drastically cut bureaucracy and keep taxes to around 25% tops, immigrants, total, to under 15%.

We live in strange times.  To think that I, nominally Church of England, would be watching a Roman Catholic sermon - didn't even know they did sermons - shows that He moves in mysterious ways, so to speak.

We are in deeply troubled times.  Referring back to the first post of the day, I'd say that if you cannot see how deeply riven western society is right now, then even naively, you are actually part of the problem humanity faces.Sorry but if you are oblivious to the sufferng, what can I say?

It has lifted this below from its url at the top of the post and put it here.  Hmmmm, the ways of Blogger are deep and mysterious.

Schools in England dropped virtually all virus-control measures in July, except twice weekly testing of pupils. Those who get a positive swab must stay home for 10 days.

But amid rising infection rates among youngsters, some schools are quietly reintroducing measures including face masks and telling children to stay home if their sibling has the virus.

It comes as the NHS plans to unveil walk-in vaccine clinics for school children within weeks in an effort to speed up the jabs rollout.
