b) Breitbart reports that former Vatican emissary Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano has refused to obey a summons to the Vatican to face charges of schism, restating he does not recognize Pope Francis as the head of the Catholic Church. 

 “As I stated in my Communiqué of June 20, I do not recognize the authority of the tribunal that claims to judge me, nor of its Prefect, nor of the one who appointed him,” Archbishop Viganò said in a statement.

Awoke around 0330, not too bad as the first half of sleep had been about 5 hours. Posted the OoL post, which did take some doing as the pics had long gone. Never mind, it was there and on X, posted the first N.O. whenever, a few things for the second, took a little nap or at least zonked.

Made it down and the bleedin’ painter is painting our letterboxes, I know the guy. I go to the door, take the parcel, thanks (pair of shorts and zip up fleece on, house owner now observing all, I’m half asleep. They’re all grinning, which is cruel in a Schadenfreude sort of way.)

Open the parcel and yep, it’s what I ordered to come before 1 p.m. There’s another later.  Painter says, “Everyday Christmas, eh?”

I looks at him and the penny drops. “If you’re painting the letterboxes, I can’t check my mail, can I?”

“Mail?”

“Post. Letters. Those things they shove through the slot.”

“Ah, if you give me the key, I can do it for you.”

“Never mind, I’ll check it tomorrow … nothing I want anyway.”

Strikes me it’ll be fun when they paint the outside … Royal Mail are going to love that.
