… but a train of thought got me here, not feeling 100% tummy wise. Was silently singing Roy Head’s Treat Her Right … immediately youtube offered Roy Buchanan’s version as well, immediately after bringing up Roy Head on screen, there were some regular reactors.

Strange character, Roy Head, one hit boy of course for most of that era. But so was Roy B strange … died at 48, alcoholic, rough life but the boy could play that guitar.

Was thinking who here at N.O. would appreciate him, apart from musos? Not all like the blues … it might be a hiding to nothing to play songs by him … then I thought why not be as bloodyminded as Roy himself?

A minor league negative for me, myself, I, is that I’m not crazy about the guitar as an instrument … yes, I can appreciate the artistry all right, he can certainly play that thing in his own style … just not crazy for guitar, not even Chet Atkins’s … call me a Philistine. But blues itself I lurve when it’s good.
