Friday [10 to 13]

(1029) Next up the reaction to The Bourne Identity, around noon. (1114)

13.  The three letter sites

12.  More rounding up (includes Pigboy)

11.  Scotland and Gibraltar

Pigboy in Gibraltar we can look at later … however, there was this conversation this morning about Scotland …

I’ve not replied to that yet, I certainly have thoughts … I’d be interested in yours first.

10.  Mortality

Not to put too fine a point on this … to come to the point by the second line …

There’s been a death in my “family” which I shan’t go into but I would like to be forthright about mortality … in this way … to address you, the reader, directly.

Look at our age, all right … you know what I’m driving at … whether in your 50s, younger or older … the question arises about mortality and my view is that as long as I have a purpose here on this earth, I plan to hang about like a bad smell … doing that job … in the words of the Blues Bros … on a mission from God.

Once that job is no longer required, then nor am I and I may as well make my quietus and await further orders from Above. Now, in your case, you might think you’re just filling in time online … I say no … you are part of a curmudgeonly army which is absolutely vital to keep alive … as you’re going to be needed … Dad’s Army, Mums, Grandparents … Woke yoof will destroy society way too quickly on behalf of their controllers, globopsycho, if we’re no longer here.

In short … you’d best keep yourself as fit as possible, a right bleedin’ pain in the neck for the Wokerati and globopsycho … take one look at this Eurovision thing this weekend … a perversionfest which young people will be watching …

She’s Dutch, living in Athens, younger than I by a considerable amount, yet old enough to be wise.

In short, our demographic has much work to do before shuffling off.

Can anyone name a country where life for the people gets better and better because a government of any flavour is in existence?

    1. If I could do that the country would probably be ruled by a benign dictator. It is nigh on impossible to find such a country because, however benign their government, ruling would be hampered by other nations and blocs.

1s Anglo-Saxon becoming a banned phrase? Cambridge journal is accused of pandering to 'mad Americans' after ditching the term from its title

This is what Orwell said about them in 1941..

“In intention, at any rate, the English intelligentsia are Europeanized. They take their cookery from Paris and their opinions from Moscow. In the general patriotism of the country they form a sort of island of dissident thought. England is perhaps the only great country whose intellectuals are ashamed of their own nationality.
