Growing up in the 1950s meant that I was subjected to occasional smogs caused by the gasworks. Yes, smogs in Hertfordshire! Buses belched thick black exhaust. Every house was heated by an open fire fueled with coal, wood or coke from the gasworks. People burned bonfires in back gardens and allotments, farmers burned off stubble in their fields. I’m still alive to remind the ignorant of these things.
Our air quality is so much better than it was then. This assault on our ability to heat our homes, to drive our ice or diesel cars has bu**er all to do with air quality. They are even telling us that digging over the soil in our gardens releases trapped carbon, exterminate all those worms and moles! As was pointed out at the other place CO2 is the gas of life, pumped into greenhouses otherwise the crops within would die.
All this and still there is no outcry, no riots in the streets. Where are the people with common sense or a smidgeon of primary school science? It's the pharmaceutical companies wet dream to produce a drug that whole populations take on a daily basis. Add to that the fact that they consider a patient cured is a customer lost. I don't suppose that they care if a dead patient is also a customer lost, there will be another one along in a minute. The sheer amount of money they spend on lobbying isn't just enough to influence governments and healthcare professionals it's enough to buy them lock, stock and barrel.

While were on the subject of soothsayers, I have copies of CH's ALTA reports where he "predicts" future events. He claims to have predicted the 2008 crash and 9/11. There's no way to check that from what I've read as the reports have to be interpreted i.e. they are not precise. Not much else has come to pass of any note and none of his more recent predictions have occurred either. CH outed himself fairly recently as a charlatan imo when he claimed he predicted one of his friends (who goes by the moniker JSnip4 on YT) would crash his private plane. (He said he got this prediction from his data scrapes of millions of words on the internet via his web bot). CH said he didn't tell him though. His friend did crash his plane and suffered serious injuries.
Some friend if he did actually see it in his data. I doubt he did.

re #7 Quite right Andy, the prodnoses had better not try to apply their insane standards round here - perhaps they should focus on the apalling sewage pollution of seas/rivers, fly-tipping, litter in streets, etc. etc. oh, sorry I forgot, that would require them to actually do something, instead of just telling the rest of us how to live our lives.

There is not enough workforce, there are not enough young people to finance the pensions of the old, etc. A collapsing Ukraine and the absorption of the younger Ukrainian population are among the Europeans' goals. Make no mistake, they will do what they can to integrate them as soon as possible and to make it impossible for them to return to Ukraine. Even though the European people might not want this outcome."
