8.  DAD across the way

b) Four individuals, including two Tunisian minors and an Algerian in an irregular situation, are accused of having organized meetings with homosexual people in order to “punish” them. They were arrested in Saint-Pol-sur-Mer.

The process is reminiscent of that of Philippe's attackers, in the nearby town of Grande Synthe. 

c) On Tuesday, the police evicted the occupants (young migrants from Mali, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast) from around thirty tents in the 5th arrondissement, offering them a departure for Besançon. Usual operations, assures the prefecture, which denies any link with the imminence of the Olympics while the associations denounce a “social cleansing” of the capital.

A few metres away, in the darkness, a bus is waiting with the door open. The prefecture's services offer a rehousing solution in Besançon (Doubs), but few migrants seem interested in an adventure in the East of France.
