Where is this? Exactly I mean.

7.  Quick roundup

Interesting thing with that last one is it was deleted on Twitter.  There are, however … ways.

So, you've watched 9/11: A Conspiracy Theory and now you're wondering who Jessica Lynch is? Well, you can always check the hyperlinked transcript. But while we're at it, why not dig a little further into the Jessica Lynch legend and learn all about how the media fabricates war stories for the consumption of the fluoride-addled, television-addicted masses?

  2. JH: Well gentlemen, you know, it's interesting. First ... it's RAF Scampton. Second ... NI was actually represented, as they run the Union flag as theirs. So all were actually covered, except Kernow.

    1. If the little boys in the Congo are paid two bucks a day they are not slaves. I dislike people cheapening the awfulness of slavery by purporting that all sorts of non-slaves are slaves. I find it a stupid and offensive habit.

    3. Late to the party but I would have guessed Scampton as it's in the news. First thought was Greenham Common but those people were rather anti nation states.

  3. JH: what an odd reply:

“ Odd reply. On those grounds all you need in the Union Jack.”

If you go to NI, there are, in Belfast for example, loyalist streets and Catholic streets. At intervals down the loyalist streets are flagpoles and flying on those flagpoles are Union flags, not NI flags or pennants. The latter come out during marches.

  4. In response to Dearieme about the boys earning $2 a day, I am reminded of the horror stories of the children in Bangladesh making the Euro96 footballs. Their wages were reported to be less than 10p a day, the balls being sold for many times that. Boycotts were called for by the usual suspects over here. One particular case was of a girl who's mother was blind and unemployed. My thoughts were that, sad though it may seem, if a child can earn money to help support the family it is only a good thing in the absence of any social security. Slaves they are demonstrably not.

The problem lies with our wealthy corporations out sourcing manufacture to third world countries, aware of corruption and poor working conditions. Boosting profits for all, more for some than others, as is the way of the world.

Where do you draw the line with children earning money to support the family? It is a slippery slope and the potential for all kinds of abuse is enormous.
