3.  Well put, Ian!

After last nights final, I've lost interest in the current game for good. Two potentially great teams were hamstrung by 'laws' that emphasise defence, and by a refereeing 'team' that seemed to think all those spectators were there (or watching on TV) to see them control the game (and players). The constant talk from the british referee was annoying and the extreme decisions seemed to reflect modern society, not a hard-played sporting contest and ruined the match for me. I have found the game less attractive for some years, but last night was the end for me.

They were so into how wonderfully on top of things they were, they couldn’t organise a p… up in a brewery. Ultra pedantic on a rainy night … yes, if, in fast motion, not slow, it was an instant decision thing … yes, sin bin if really bad but no red unless it was a premeditated headhunt.

Mind you, that first one on racist oonga boonga … I get the feeling there was some feeling in that one … maybe it’s just me defending flankers as a class.
