  7. #2. These questions are somewhat silly, they misuse the equal sign because the sides are not equal. They should probably use an equal sign with an attached arrow (which my memmory sugests means 'becomes' . Rather like <=> but all one symbol. Or the tripple bar

  8. Robbo: Yes. To write them in correct notation would mean something like:
    f(1,3) = 34; f(5,2) = 27 etc, give f(2,4)
