2.  Fragmented review of the Crawdads film (see below last evening’s matinee)

Part one. I anticipate Ripper’s reply and so part two is in Thurs 4, around 0700.

Ok, so many things to say upfront before even getting down to the film.

First off, thx to Ripper for providing, you’ll notice it’s stiil there in comments, as well as my two links.  Second is that just because I disagree with a film or action, it’s not personal … I do try to explain why.  Third … disagreeing on this point or that is not the end of the world.

Now to get down to it … exactly what are the trannies saying at this very moment?  That if we don’t go along with their “values”, we should be killed … and they’ve already started.

Let me put it another way … in the 70s, I was teacher training and at the school where I was doing my practice, a storm blew up in one classroom where a female teacher, supposedly teaching art, took down her gear in front of the year sevens … she was sacked on the spot.

Compare that to today, inc. the drag shows and porn in the texts. Right, truth was that we, as fourteen year olds ourselves, many years before, were pretty R rated in what we did in reality … obviously our parents weren’t aware but they should have guessed. 

What I’m saying is I’m not sure those kids would have been horrified getting an eyeful of her equipment but that was hardly the point. There are things which are ok to run and things one just doesn’t do in public.

If you look at the YT review, concerning the authoress of the book behind this film, she’s a very iffy person.  Just because someone writes a book, why must that book be sacrosanct?  I see these reviews saying this film or that is not “true to the book”, as if the book is much chop to start with.  And this one is not, so it’s downhill from there. 

As these YT reviewers point out, the sex scenes were too “drawn out”.  Let’s call them what they were … gratuitous. But that’s only part of it. In real life, the kid would have been doing that, I was. But added to this, compounding it … the actress was cast because she was 20 going on 14. She walks and acts 14. So it was not 20 being raped, it was someone far younger in mind.

That’s why I wrote “no way”. If you follow the trail from the feminazi author killing wildlife poachers in Africa to the producer, the director … it’s all Woke female. And around the edges are Reece Witherspoon and Taylor Swift, neither known for their moral compasses. The audiences are completely ignoring this aspect, which is why I insulted them beneath the review.

And that’s before even starting on the mechanics of the film itself. Sigh.  The instant I saw 2022, the die was cast.  Excuse my French but the premise was shite, it was in the hands of shite people … it could never have been anything but wooden … because it was ideological, a contrived tale allowing the exploitation of a child.

This heavyhanded ideology really started kicking in in the late 80s and we can pinpoint it … that moment a female M in Bond called him a dinosaur.  Measure the malaise from that year, though there were signs in some of the 80s Perry Masons.
