Personally, I couldn't give a sh*t about the planet. I'll do what it takes to live as affordably as possible, i.e, free or nearest offer. Wood burners rule - they belch carbon.
I also see that throughout all this zero carbon crap that only a couple of alternatives have been allowed. For example, you would think that at some point the Griggs cavitation heater would get a mention as a viable way to heat a home very cheaply.
Another thing which is ignored about air source heat pumps is that a lot of their output is wasted in the losses transferring the heat into water to feed radiators, which transfer it again back into the air with more losses. It could be transferred straight into the air from the pump and blown throughout the home through particulate filters.

re #13: It's been an issue since the 90s - Thank goodness I'm beyond it these days, but who'd want to get far/close enough to find out! Not even the prescence of kids seems absolute any more!
