Hmmmmm, not sure that was entirely right.  Look at the opening date and the circumstances. The war ended in 1918 but after demob, gestation etc., they started popping out from 1920/21.  They were a definite post war generation. 1920 onwards fought in WWII.  But so did 1909 onwards ... so they had two wars to live through. 1942 is an American date, as they came to the war late. So 1912 to 1924 was the period you did not want to be born.

What about Sean Connery's 1930?  15 in 1945, just escaped.  For Americans and British Commonwealth, there was Korea and Vietnam, not Korea for the latter.  You can't say they did not see war though, overall.  

British Boomers were the ones who escaped altogether.  But then came Ireland.  Is Gerry Adams still alive?  Not too late to hang him.

If you accept the Wiki definition of 1928 to 1945, they were hardly silent, they were trouble with a capital T.
