Monday [17]

17.  Today's dilemma

Point 79d in Steve's depopulation edition gives a link:

... which then runs a TCW article, which mentions the Milgram experiment and there's little point me restating the obvious, as it's all in there.

My reaction is that of horror and deep disappointment in godless humanity.  The problem for a true believer in heaven, judgment day, one's actions being examined the other side of the Styx, is that if you did inflict or allow to be inflicted real pain on another human being, then if there was no good reason, if it was just because you were philosophically in an opposed camp, it would have you headed for the fiery place.

Good reason?  Well what about if that person in the chair being zapped could tell where certain abortion clinics were where teenage mothers were being coerced and the body parts industry there was raking in the shekels ... that sort of thing?

But is that not what the evil muvvers have convinced the vaxxed of ... that we are threatening humanity?  So at which point does one baulk and refuse to inflict pain?  Even murder?

There was a picture I was going to run - not now - of a death cult public square and a young woman was alone on a raised dais while a man whipped her over and over, while the ecstatic crowd ehooped and cheered.  Civilised, yes?  Her crime?  Standing too close to another man.

If you accidentally found yourself in that crowd, what would you do?  Step up and take the whipping for her?  Slip away from that square and pretend you never saw it?  Make motions of cheering it on because if you didn't, your fate was going to be far more gruesome?
