Tuesday [8 to 10]

Lovely Tuesday afternoon to y'all.

10.  The makings

What culinary events are occurring at your end?

9.  Cryptic reply

... to someone close ... yes, the Donald was written in there, he did, that's true, and Melania but when they saw the lie of the land, they got out toute de suite.  The Donald was careless in his bravado days.

8.  Slog

So far, The Slog has made only passing reference to The Honourable Dame Catherine Elizabeth Bingham, who chaired the UK Government's Vaccine Taskforce, steering procurement of vaccines and the strategy for their deployment from mid 2020 until earlier this year. This earned her the customary Covid Gong in the 2021 Birthday Honours for "services to the procurement, manufacture and distribution of Covid-19 vaccines." Bingham was also admitted to the Freedom of the City of London this year.

  1. 9.Point was just because someone's in there doesn't make them guilty of anything. I have something to add but need to dig it out of my files and post it yonder. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon. :)

Was on one of the old NOs. Off topic but someone may be interested.

Lunch was turkey escalopes, caper butter and vitamin enriched veggies.

  3. Something else from an old NO. If memory serves it was Ken Craggs who put us onto this. Son of Charles the Second with Mrs Gwynn of black complexion.

  4. Lunch was Sunday lunch leftovers from the fridge - houmous, gajik, carrot sticks, and a samosa. Followed by one of our own apples. Dinner will be leftover Sunday dinner from the fridge - probably Singapore Noodle and some Lemon Chicken. Followed by home-made trifle.

We have already given a friend our leftover Scotch eggs. We still have a huge amount of leftover salad in the fridge: can we eat it before it goes limp? My suggestion that all the remaining veg leftovers be put in the whizzer and then made into soup got a less than rapturous reception.

I've eaten far too much in the last few days so I've cut down breakfast to a bit of banana and a Brazil nut for two days in a row.
