  1. They had a fair showing at Le Mans this past weekend.

  2. I shall have to trust your judgement on this as it's too damn small for a gentleman of substance to drive. For what a purely aesthetic opinion is worth when a great car is so much more than its looks, it's a pretty enough Aston. Not as pretty as the Italian competition though.

  3. Punch, any good?

Well, Tom, I knew you'd say that. :)

  4. I would say yes.
They have brakes. A good benchmark for a sports car is 0 to 100 to 0. See how that checks out amoung most hotrods.
A V12 is nothing short of wicked when running right but that is a lot of moving parts to get timed all together at once. If you got the bucks for the ride, you can affort to have the hood lifted.
A lot of the older marques are being revived, Maserati is one that comes to my mind. Mighty.
I see these as automobiles being bought by collectors for high end garages and the future bloggers of muscle car sites. More power to them.
It would be fun to see these phat daddies race at Le Mans or Sebring without the mandatory tweeking for safety and such just right out of the box. A grudge race between drivers of sport. Devil take the cost. Yeah buddy!
    Wishfull dreaming.

  5. Don't do cars except beetles but catching up.

Radio 7 is brill: lots of repeats of old comedy shows and dramas. Also sci fi if you like that.

    Sexy aircraft???

You omitted sense of humour - unless it was under Other.

And I got the line of succession completely wrong thinking Edward and Anne would come before Beatrice etc.
