Interesting priorities, in that BAA chose to keep Stansted and let the others go.
Assuming that they are not complete idiots, that they have their own forward planning and no doubt have inside info on government forward planning and realizing they had to sell off any two of the three, then why would they release the multi-billion pound Gatwick, first particularly as the DfT said:

I'd go with the exact opposite of that quote.

ReplyDeleteMaybe selling of the biggest concern which will enable them to make the most profit now. Invest some of the profit in Stansted, which will still give a modest amount of profit and will be sustainable.
ReplyDeleteGatwick the biggest concern is most most likely to get into uncontrollable financial difficulties as times get harder.
