I don't know why everyone is so down on Starbucks. Just because they have had such a great success I guess. I don't drink coffee so can't talk about the quality but it's no more expensive than many other coffee houses here.
Here in Australia I don't think that they have Starbucks or they have a very low profile. They do have McCafe, which I remember thinking was a bit odd when I first travelled here about 10 years ago.
Good coffee is available almost everywhere, which may explain why Starbucks have not made inroads here. There are other chains, but mostly it is small private businesses. We have a guy who sells very nice coffee out of his van who visits our office every day.

ReplyDeleteStarbucks is ok if you don't like good coffee, and don't mind overpaying for mediocre coffee.
