ReplyDeleteI'm not usually one to agree with Tory plans but as they go, that one isn't too bad. Why shouldn't they have to work for the money they get? And if they're working for and contributing to there local community then all the better.
I live across from blocks of tenements, there is one block in particular where I know for a fact the guy deals drugs from his home. He doesn't work and more than likely collects every benefit under the sun. Why should society at large have to fund this particular man's existence? When he himself does nothing to better society? In fact what he does do is aid the local communities degradation.
Make them work, there's no reason they can't. In the least it would help raise community esteem.
I don't disagree but he might claim he is working and that that is his business. :)

Does our vote at the UN represent Northern Ireland, for example, given that we now need a passport to get there from England?
Why aren't we hearing howls from the other permanent UN members about our double vote?
AT what point does devolution of Scotland and Wales, who already have offices in Brussels, and are increasingly digressing in political, monetary and fiscal, and cultural, from the norms of the UK (save financial funding debate for another day) result in them debating whether they should be represented at the UN.
And at what point does the electorate collapse under the additional overheads and taxation required to run this corrupt behemoth (EUSSR, and UN)and the millions of officials and their lackies, and interpreters, and accompanying shiite, all traveling incessantly between many sites, and claiming expenses.
How about a financial health check on Mr corruption himself, The Kinnocks, for example, they do seem to love the gravy, and fail to act on reported corruption, and Kofis son, and....and....and.
How long before we line'em all up, and execute them, to the last standing.
