18. Apple has sent its promo for the new range
... inc. iPad Air 6:
My Air 4 came out in 2020, my Air 5 in 2022, they speak of 5 year shelf life ... I'd say that's heavy usage ... gaming etc. By that timetable, I'd want to replace the Air 4 this year. Not quite yet though ... not sure the reviews will tell much different but still best to wait.
Why not PC or laptop any more for me? I can't see the screen, the fine print, plus I can't sit at a computer or any table now for any length of time (spine) ... the iPad does encompass the tasks. I'm looking at 256 gigs, wifi only (no cellular) ... maybe Applecare but will think about it.
17. A few more, inc. VE Day
16. Moosh corner
15. Australia out of Eurovision
That's really rather funny. Of course, I rushed to tell my Polish friend about Poland. Don't know anyone from Iceland to rush the news to.
Actually, have you glimpsed the GB entry yet? Awful.
I use Tool Station rarely but when I call them they are able to access my account with just my name and postcode. Similar to Screwfix above the service is excellent.
ReplyDeleteBowls match this afternoon, paying attention to the weather. Bright sunshine this morning, few clouds, seven parallel contrails in two groups, no aircraft in sight. Predict cloud cover by the time the game starts.
A couple of sunny(ish) days have brought on my broad beans, cauliflower in boxes outside. Tomatoes outside, chillies to join them soon. Carrots germinating, first early spuds, onions and garlic all doing well.
Yes, they’re good too. I use both … or used to. Regular updates.

ReplyDeleteSome thoughts on the day, so far..
18. Bought my sister the Apple iPad Air (Gen 4) a couple of years ago - I have a Samsung tablet which I store my photos on and nothing else.
17. VE Day for Dad's family was no cause for celebration as his 19 year-old brother was KIA in '44. Mum's family had a street party down their way and what they did with the spread they put on under the severe rationing regime was simply amazing. Folk brought out stuff they'd been hording for years including fruit cake made before the war with extra whisky or brandy in it.
15. Why are Australia even in it? E U R O V I S I O N.
Why indeed
DeleteFoS: Could someone please explain the briar farm posting to me?
ReplyDeleteWish I could. Shall explore.
DeleteNo.
Delete🤣
Looks like either a rogue potato plant or possibly a brave tomato.
Digger
Word was under the tweet that it was a question of weather ... that it was too risky so early.
DeleteFoS:
DeleteOf course! Quite an amusing post actually,
In one of those strange coincidences I have just had a discussion with my farmer landlord about when to put my geranium windowboxes out. Tomorrow is Ascension, so a public holiday in my village and the forecast is warmth and sun (at last). He warned me to wait until the Eisheilige are past. He had them off by heart: Mamertus 11.05, Pankratius 12.05, Servatius 13.05, Bonifatius 14.05 and Sophia 15.05. Boniface has to be past before putting plants outside.
Have you ever thought of having subtitles for cognitively challenged recluses like me on this blog?
Have you ever considered, FoS, that I might be retarded? 🥳😎
DeleteOoh ooh, me too.
