3.  Sorry to run this collage before breakfast 

… but it’s to the point and I don’t plan to look at the topic after this, today (famous last words). While this sort of thing proliferates in social media now, it’s important imho that it be seen in context … the worst possible examples always are the ones brought to vlogs and posts.

Tomorrow, one of the “ladies at lunchtime” is quite enigmatic … ticks all the boxes but something … just something … is concerning. Something fierce and me me me through the eyes. The eyes are the windows of the soul but so is the deportment, way of moving and acting.

Not all that many years back, there was a photo, run here at N.O., of a wedding party, bridal party with bride and maids in dark green but the body language was bad … the Taylor Swift type bride was leaning fwd at the head, striding fwd, no smile, henchgirls either side, lesser creatures behind and out to the sides. Poor sod I thought at the time (the groom), but there was no picture.

I’d say that all were completely into themselves first, second, third and this dominates all soc-med looks at modern females now … the concept of giving of oneself to the man seems totally absent … instead it’s a total power play by the female to have things her way, for herself, expensively. The summum bonum is things, “beautiful things” for herself and vicariously for anyone allowed within her sphere.

Methinks we need to look at the male today too but previous little exists online. From what I can gather, it’s either the bad boy satyr, plug em and leave em, hook up culture … or some sensitive demi boy who speaks and moves in a mincing way. Blame is clearly on parents and school teachers/head.  They themselves, the latter, appointed by equally as bad councils or boards.

What to do? Because clearly, the all me me me female you do NOT want to be entangled with in any way.  On our floor of our place, other than me, there are three males, each with a female, all youngish … I’m the odd one out. Next door’s female here is starting to extend her influence and I don’t mind … to a point that’s fine … it’s more trad … but not by a lot. We do have a stable social situation here and my influence is part of that … they’re slightly wary and yet we do get along, maybe I’m in a parental oversight role. Maybe, it’s intriguing but no one’s complaining.

If I told you that two abodes are British, the other two from Yurrup, all getting along … interesting. Halfway down is another Brit couple … she in full time work, he in occasional work, both with tatts but ok … that’s our social set. Those two halfway down get along with us too, I get along with the mothers of two of them, I’m apparently seen as a “nice boy”. I’m not sure that in 2024, we’re going to find much better than that. All are young except for those mothers and me … so onus is … can they stand me?  So far.

So I look at the constant stream of predatory females and put upon males keeping their distance appearing on soc-med … as against these normies I actually live among … interesting. It would only take one anti-social one … but no one currently is that.  Hmmmmm. 🍿🍿🍿

2.  DAD at NOWP

a) In a move reflecting growing concerns over the stability of the American economy, several African and Middle Eastern nations have begun withdrawing their gold reserves from the United States in recent months. 

b) More than 120,000 take part in May Day protests across France, dozens arrested

French police said they arrested 45 people in Paris and that 12 officers had been injured during traditional May Day protests on Wednesday, though the demonstrations were far more subdued than last year. 

c) French industrial companies involved in the manufacture of Aster anti-aircraft and anti-ballistic missiles will have to prioritize the production of these weapons’ components over other orders, announced the French Armed Forces Ministry. 

d) 45-year-old Joshua Dean is dead. The former mechanical engineer and quality auditor from Wichita, Kansas, alleged that Spirit leadership ignored manufacturing defects on the 737 MAX, including 'mechanics improperly drilling holes in the aft pressure bulkhead of the MAX.' When he brought this up with management, he said that nothing was done about it. So he filed a safety complaint with the FAA - and said that Spirit had used him as a scapegoat while they lied to the agency about the defects. 
e) Managers at French public service radio just dismissed journalist Jean-François Achilli for “serious misconduct,” on the grounds that he was considering working with Rassemblement National (RN) president Jordan Bardella. The basis for the sacking is problematic, in that there were never any more than informal exchanges between the two men—proof instead of political censorship. 

f) ‘Francocide’ — French teen stabbed to death by Afghan migrant the latest victim of ‘senseless migration policy’.

Matisse was stabbed to death on Saturday evening with police arresting a 15-year-old Afghan minor and his mother on suspicion of murder. The attack has sparked outrage across the nation and reignited the fiery immigration debate. 

g) The Blue Wave movement in South America is pushing back against abortion activists.

In 2022, 62% of voters in Chile rejected a pro-abortion constitution backed by the country’s young leftist leader, 36-year-old President Gabriel Boric. The new 388-article constitution, drafted by a constituent assembly, would have locked many progressive agenda items into law, including the legalization of abortion as a fundamental human right. In November of the following year, pro-lifers triumphed again in Peru with the passage of Law No. 785, which affirmed that life begins at conception and recognizes the right to life of unborn children. 

h) In Lille, two computers belonging to “a manager responsible for the development of the Lille Olympic site” were stolen from a car, the prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday, without specifying at this stage the nature of the data linked to the Olympic Games that they contained. “The complaint from a manager responsible for the development of the Lille Olympic site was received on the evening of April 29 for the theft of two laptops and a badge which were in her vehicle parked in front of her home,” indicates Lille prosecutor Carole Etienne.
