Friday [1 to 3]

(0449) Morning all at 0611 now … hazy cloud all over. 🍿🍿🍿 (0611)

3.  DAD over at NOWP

a) More on Jeanne of Arc from yesterday. EELV [the Green Party] denounces the political recovery of Jeanne of Arc, “republican heroine and icon of transidentity”.

[DAD – Do they realise how stupid they are? They need to learn some history.]

b) In March, Jeanne and Amélie, students in Toulouse, were surprised by a team of police officers while they were putting up a message against abortion.

They were summoned 3 weeks ago and were interviewed at the police station. The town hall filed a complaint. And they must participate in a citizen training session in order to reform themselves to the ideas of the republic…

Two nights later, their message was covered up by pro-abortion activists, who obviously did not suffer the same fate.

c) The Left are getting worried about the upcoming EU elections.

“While the list led by Jordan Bardella is at the top of the polls for the European elections, the Trade Unions are increasing their initiatives to try to dissuade employees from voting for the National Rally. The RN, which increasingly influences employees, including those who say they are close to Unions or who are members.

Unions offer training sessions to learn how to fight against the ideas and arguments of the National Rally”.

JH: More from DAD on thart warehouse fire:

d) Update. It was a delivery whorehouse for parcels from Amazon, Yodel, Hermes and DPD.

{Could it be a Lion battery going on fire?}

1.  Time to address something from last evening

To quote my mate up the road … an uber-techie making his living from such things … there’s no such thing (as yet) as AI … it is machine learning and very sharp it is too, in many ways much quicker than the human. However, it can only work on what is fed in and if that itself is tainted, then there’s a skynet situation.

Go back to Thurs 18 and look at the wording of the blanket policy, then look at my wording which ML took umbrage at … my criticism was artistic, i.e. on the grounds of art, in the same way I’d criticise Emin or Pollock, in the way various readers here criticise Vetriano, the piano, the harpischord.

These are artistic or to broaden this … literary criticisms.  However, there were also two hypersensitive issues referred to, not argued, i.e. there was no urging of anything untoward, no action to be taken. The only action mentioned was how I might vote.  Which is not to say I never join a general chorus calling for action on other matters, e.g. over the poisoning of people that Them above did for three years and still are. Why did they not take umbrage last night over those?

My overall view on the subject … in general, like … is:

1 comment:

  1. What is the most effective action individuals can take?

Most experts (76%) backed voting for politicians who pledge strong climate measures, where fair elections take place.

The survey sought the view of every contactable lead author and review editor of reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change since 2018, with 380 of 843 responding. Overall the scientists were extremely pessimistic about the prospects of holding global temperature rises below internationally agreed targets.

Overall most of the scientists didn't take part in the survey.
Of those that did they highlighted voting as the most effective thing to do
    Great stuff.

No need to guess which media organ published this survey result.
