ReplyDeleteYes! And they seem to forget that it only has about a third the energy content (for the same volume) as natural gas. So you'd need to significantly raise the pressure delivered to every property, further increasing the amount of leakage...
We wonder why the weather is so bad? IAP discusses geo-engineering/freak weather:

ReplyDeleteIn an earlier life I was making lead shielding trays for nuclear reactors and the hydrogen torch was the tool I used as it was a cold flame therefore ideal for the finishing required on the lead. Of course the melting of the lead ingots into molten lead was done with propane as was the tinning of the tray into which the lead was poured.

Last night was so cold that I had my central heating on until the fire warmed up. We had a few days last summer when the daytime was sunny until the patchwork of contrails appeared and wall-to-wall cloud formed. Usually that would suggest a warm evening, on the contrary, somehow these evenings seemed as cold as winter. I wonder what's on order for this summer.
