Tuesday [1 to 4]

(0130) “Awoken” is a good term … it can be waking well after midnight for some reason, with clarity of thought not always there next morning in the rush of the incoming … or it could mean red-pilled in US terms … whatever. Why “awoken” rather than “awoke” or “awake”? It suggests a transition point in which you come awake. Anyway, I’m going to keep with that word for now. (0228)

4.  Very early roundup, inpo (in no particular order)

🎞️

Introducing here a new idea, new use of symbols … if I embed a screenshot with a link, then I’ll signal that by using 🎞️ 🎙️ or 📒 for clip, audio or text, placed immediately above left of the screenshot. If no symbol appears above left of a screenshot … which is the usual way … then it’s not embedded.

That saves you having to waste time clicking on each screenshot to see if it's embedded. In fact, assume that by and large, screenshots won’t be embedded. If they are … they’ll be signalled. Let’s try this for awhile.

Downside of the use of emojis? Different ones available on different pads. In that case, I’ll swap to this pad to signal.

3.  There’s a screenshot coming up with Melanie King

… concerning Fani Willis using her judicial power to threaten Nathan Wade’s wife.  Put that with MftWC’s Tue 2g and you see a pattern of entirely the wrong, temperamentally unsuited, ethically unsuited person in a decision making role … and using that power quite illegitimately, let alone illegally (let’s throw in an “allegedly” here).

1.  Coming back to Steve, Darren Beatty and his subject Kagan

… it deserves attention what he has to say about regime change. I’ve already mentioned I’m not a huge fan of vlogging because the guy or gal takes an inordinate time to get down to it and that hour out of your day could have been summed up in five minutes.

In Bannon’s warroom, when he allows someone to get a word in edgeways, the chap or chapess must have marshalled his thoughts, because he has x minutes and that’s all.

That word “must” or “have to” are also fraught …we don’t like egotists telling us through a screen that we must do this or that … have to. It’s softened by “if”. If we wish to know something or other, we need to do this or that.

“It’s worth a look” is perhaps too soft. If we could only settle on a phrase which is not loaded, does not suggest compulsion and yet conveys that you’re missing key data or thinking not to look … it would be nice to have such a phrase. How about “there are perhaps some key points in (whatever the piece is) …?

Too long. How about “you might look at”?  For now, I’ll use that one, which removes the element of compulsion. And in this case … Beatty on Kagan … you might look at that segment, as it explains much.

  1. DAD - “Awoken” is a good term; "Awakened' is less "Woke". :o)
