Lack of conscience

Before getting into it, I’m well aware of boring alpha men who are up themselves, of sleazes, of territory strutters and so on but for me, dealing with men is par for the course, just something we do 24/7 … women though are a different kettle of fish and it really does come down, imho, to how much they care, with developed consciences, to how rational they are at one end of the scale … to the type of extreme creature in this episode … totally me me me and without conscience … at the far end of the scale.

The difference between a man with such a character and a woman, imho, is that an egotistical man is far easier for a fellow man to dismiss, zero tolerance … whereas a pretty female has wiles, fluttering eyelids, an array of weaponry which needs to be negotiated and if a man’s unlucky enough to get entangled with one of these, hell on earth ensues.

The solution is easy enough on paper … avoid the type … same for the gals with awful men … trouble is, easier said than done.  As some commenters wrote, Lee Grant was perfectly cast in this episode and Shonna is close to the perfect reviewer … to my mind, the above is the way to go.
