Kaboom!

Just adore Tom's insensitive timing here ... what with the blowing up of the pipeline, as well as this morning's dam blast.

In Russia, I saw the Russian jargon version of Lord of the Rings, with Rammstein, constant dark expressions ... it was fun. One of those expressions which I never saw printed, only heard, was, "Nu ka zharkhni!"

It needs to be delivered in a deadpan monotone, almost bored, in a similar manner to Catch 22 when the two colonels walk along the runway, talking, a plane tries to emergency land, crashes, blows up ... the two continue walking and talking.

In Russian, the "nu" can roughly translate as "well", it's a particle, "ka" just adds to it, grammatically ... sounds better ... and "zharkhni" means blown up. Transliterated ... remember it's jargon, ok, might be: "Well, ok, let it be blown to bits," or set on fire or obliterated. Eastern Europeans get a blast out of things blowing up ... quite primal.

Seems we do too. 😎
