This is a different take.  I start at the Triangle post, oft-mentioned.  If you buy that model, plus the dirt the DemRats are currently leaking, my feeling is that it's not unlike JFK and Lincoln ... started out as one of the apices or apexes, then went rogue when he saw the word Statesman.

Flaunting a bible at St John's and talking MAGA, there's no doubt DJT saw a strong internal, not global economy, was the way.  And that meant fewer useless imports, e.g. the death cult, plus buy US.  Why not?  He was not interested in world policeman.  He thought the armed forces were there to defend America, not destroy it with globo. I do believe he was naive enough.

Skeletons in the cupboard?  He invented them ... dozens, he likes a female, as he probably told Jeffrey, but then saw the trap ... or someone told him.

There is the nagging doubt though about megalomania.  This is the stuff dictators and anti-Christs are made of.  Doesn't age much, does he?

Solution?  That not him but someone else, e.g. De Santis, takes up the baton, DJT influencing from beyond.  Maybe the sweetheart deal is DJT takes over for the remainder of the term, hands over to the new man.  Yet look at De Santis's wife's antecedents ... not good.

On the other hand, that might be the lure to allay Globo fears.  Globo might see her as a Princess Nut Nut.  They sell the MAGA presidency to Globo as no great threat.

The Mar-a-Lago raid?  Theatre, Wray actually one of Trump's.  Also, who currently has the nuke button?
