Reversing the slut culture

If today opened with a look at Toodles, then Neil Oliver, then it’s only logical that the next step is Andrea Widburg:

You know a writer has hit a chord when several women across the political spectrum send you the same essay, all of them commenting that it is a great essay and that young women in America should read it. The writer is Bridget Phetasy, a writer and stand-up comedian, and the essay is Phetasy’s rejection of the hook-up culture that leftists foist on young American women.

Phetasy puts the core issue right there in her essay’s title: “I Regret Being A Slut.” What triggered her writing the essay was a new book by Louise Perry entitled The Case Against The Sexual Revolution: A new guide to sex in the 21st century. According to the description on Amazon, Perry

argues that the amoral libertinism and callous disenchantment of liberal feminism and our contemporary hypersexualised culture represent more loss than gain. The main winners from a world of rough sex, hook-up culture and ubiquitous porn – where anything goes and only consent matters – are a tiny minority of high-status men, not the women forced to accommodate the excesses of male lust.

Male lust, yes.  As a male with still functioning bits and pieces, I can attest to us having that drive but something needs to step in to prevent a descent to Sodom and Gomorrah or to ancient Rome because a completely unregulated open slather, where even the kids are involved, as everyone knows is happening today, is a sure recipe for doom.  Doom for the person inside his/her mind and soul, doom for any attempt to hold a society together.

I’m going to say it … it is demonic.  It is ba’al.  Moloch.  The best regulation is self-regulation but someone or something must have laid down some sort of code long ago in ancient times in order for those buying in to see some sort of code or structure to it … a code maybe called the sanctity of marriage.

And it presupposes that we played the field premaritally, pecker kept stowed away, we checked out every possibility before deciding … and a pretty thorough investigation was necessary, including interviews with her father and mother.

In fact sanctity is tied to virtue and any girl in functioning civilisations is constantly nudged towards virtue.  It’s almost brand name protection in commercial terms … the goods need to be of sufficient value to command a high price in the market.

The result of that is that though there’s obviously much nooky and boys will always be trying it on, we did, the girls, being the key, especially in their own company, their own society, judge value by the ability to say no or at least to draw red lines beyond which no decent girl goes.

Not perfection - there’ll always be shotgun marriages, girls will forever have their heads turned by unworthies, I’m not trying to say that a saintly society can be had while the Enemy runs things … just that the Enemy doesn’t get too far because of a strong culture at every level … parents, school, media, entertainment, kids’ peers … all of which curbs the excess the article speaks of.

Curbing excess.

And no way can there be that curbing while the entire society plummets headlong into the abyss Them have awaiting the unwary.

If a single mother with children has those children through error but she’s then found someone … one person only … if she’s done the right thing thereafter … then there’s not a lot to say.  There’s a family unit, sort of, in operation.

But no way the sophisti-single career femme with the fine house and furnishings who brings in this man or that to service her or goes out partying and does it there … she is, despite all her postulating to the contrary … a slut.  Which is what these women are now admitting.

And as people never really change course until they see the writing on the wall, so these ladies do now see the destructive end to it all, something Christy O has been blogging on since 2012, constantly threatened, even attacked by other females largely.

From where does she get her courage?  From her daddy and mommy’s examples before her, from her own family, from a strong hubby in the home supporting her, from her military background but most importantly, from her faith.  True Christians are strong … look at the bakers refusing the gay cakes, look at Pastor Pawlowski, look at MTG, Wendy Rogers … the list goes on.  These are strong women, not putting up with sleaze from anyone.  No way omnipotent … just strong in a female way.

Oh and by the way … sane.

And in this category is found our Toodles as well.  Now does that make them docile, demure, shrinking violets?  You have got to be kidding … Toodles herself is quite a handful … but worth it … have you ever known a woman worth her salt who was easy?

And I for one am delighted that these ladies are now getting loud about it, which makes it easier for men to wake up as well.

All right, what about me and the Wimmin doing this or that series?  Encouraging lust?  Encouraging appreciation of female beauty?  Just being a pleasant interlude from the horrors we write about here?  Jury’s out, I can’t be my own judge and jury.
