Thursday concerns

The big one as far as this blog is concerned is obviously the world situation where one dot, as Ripper puts it, is not only infiltrating and controlling but, to use an analogy, the yoke is being placed on all our western necks, even those as far off-grid as possible and the strap which binds it to our necks is being ratcheted tighter and tighter.

As that's the ongoing biz of the blog, I'll leave that to one side for now for this post.

The second concern is communication.  This is massive and can just as much affect morale as the big one, plus health, plus relationships.  Simple point - signalling somehow that you're ok.  Signalling any which way.  And yes, there is a case in point right at this moment for me, where one is left not knowing, possibly for days.

The third is health and safety.  Those two abused words are like every other word hijacked by these creeps trying to slowly kill us. You're only as good as your health - spiritual, mental, physical, not to complicate it further.  There's a whole industry devoted to making a fortune out of human "wellbeing" and I'm saying it's essentially hollow, it's bunkum.  In the final analysis, it's empty, a waste.

The safety part of that is a bit like a [batting] innings at cricket or baseball. It takes but one error, one case of failing to follow your own self-imposed procedures ... and you're then incommunicado ... due to any number of factors.  In perpetuity. Whatever those factors were, you're gone.

There was a case many decades ago where I was going to the forest a couple of hundred miles away for a weekend knees-up and I had on board a mate, his wife and baby.  All very young, esp. the baby.  There was a town.  For the purposes of this story, I'm not a bad driver, eyes in the back of the head etc. but that did not help.  It was the bottom of a hill, there was some vehicle pulling out ahead, I was stopped.

Four yobs in a pick-up, unregistered, drunk, everything which could be wrong.  Hurtling down the hill, rear-ended my car. What's the primary concern?  Life and limb, yes?  Especially the baby's.  I had delayed concussion, they were at least all alive.  Never saw them again.  I did enquire days later, returned home.  With that certainty of youth, I'd found a lift to the knees-up, car at a local garage a hundred miles away.

The fourth is relationships.  We form them.  Much as we keep things business-is-business, we form them.  And it always comes down to the nature of the understanding. There was one some months back, maybe a year, where I went to great lengths, not using hearts but a tulip, trying to keep it on an even keel.  It was not as she saw it.

Which comes back to point two - communication.  Young and irresponsible as I once was, even thoughtless ... by degrees, one matures but none of that means anything if it's all in silence, incommunicado.  Far better to have talked it out.

And now there's a fifth factor, a fifth concern at this end of our lives - falling ill. If you care to look at comments, you'll see our mutual concern about hospitals right now ... charnel houses, even if the occasional rogue nurse is compassionate.  The analogy here might be the scene in The Time Machine where the Eloi are in the forest picking buttercups, whatever, and suddenly the Morlocks appear from below.

This is why sending out signals is NOT self-indulgence, it is signalling to those who care that we're basically ok, give or take, otherwise those people have every reason to be concerned.  And if I rock up days later, having gone off somewhere, oblivious, saying to you, 'You don't own me, don't crowd me,' that's the height [or depth] of irresponsibility ...

There's one more which is not helpful and that's the acid tongue, the caustic observation which, sadly, I've always been afflicted by, usually through a casual aside, often meant as a joke.  That utterance can end a lifelong relationship, and yet it was never meant as anything but banter.

Except in politics.  Sorry but that observation about the woke left I ran the other day does hold water:

Think you'd agree there's not a lot of room for manoeuvre after that. Not in this decade anyway.  In fact, that sentiment is behind Vox Day's anti-Boomer rages.  To my mind, he's referring to the self-indulgence of those years back then ... of course, in neither the screenshot above, nor in the Gen X acid house world, nor the Millennial loss of moral compass, are the actions of the global cult factored in.

We are, as humans, impressionable, we're sheeple when not on our guard, and so ... when a highly organised, evil, anti-human force is coming at us, playing on our foibles and failings, designed to split us and pit each other at loggerheads, it takes the wisdom of someone pretty wise to sort through all that.

Meanwhile, the Eloi attrition continues and friends suddenly go incommunicado.

...

Late note: said person has now communicated.
