The drownings at Nantes

Perhaps this summed up the consequences of all shackles on behaviour being removed and wholesale slaughter of ordinary people by mobs who had tasted killing and were intoxicated by it.  

This was the barbarity of savages, not 'in'human but very much human viciousness towards others, not unlike the karens of 202/21.
