Post-brekky.

7.  Worth a read

... shan't say why:

6.  Garlic

Admittedly, this concerns the US market but is still worth a read:

There are many ways garlic can enter into all kinds of processed food. About 31 percent of garlic, or 217.5 million pounds per year, is from China. You might see label "organic product," but in reality, there's no third party to check and certify "organic" products in China. To turn a profit, anyone can label a product as "organic."

According to the South China Morning Post, "As much as 70 percent of Chinese rivers and lakes are polluted from industrial facilities like chemical and textile plants." Recently, residents in Zhejiang, one of the less polluted provinces in China, offered 300,000 Yuan ($50,000) if government officials would dare to swim in the local waterway.
5.  Dinesh d'Souza

"The defeat of the #BuildBackBetter legislation is a triumph of democracy. A bipartisan coalition of 51 Senators shut down a scheme by a minority in the Senate to ram this through with the help of media pressure. Fortunately democracy prevailed and the majority got its way."

4.  Robert J. O'Neill

"If you think someone else's money is "your fair share"' you are part of the problem."

  1. Interesting development in Turkey.

"Having seen his nation's currency continue its collapse (losing half its value in the last three months), despite shutting down stock trading last week and proposing huge fines for any form of "hoarding", Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the nation in a public statement, invoking religion as behind his decision to buck economic orthodoxy and cut rates into hyperinflation."

  2. 6. We see grapefruit from China over here and ginger too. Wouldn't touch either with a ten foot chopstick.

  3. 6. Garlic Grow your own, it is simple to grow. Plant in Spring; harvest in late summer. Let it dry. Hang it in the garage until you need to use it.
