6.  The thorny problem as journos

As admin, my reading of the 'community guidelines' is that one must not 'mislead' nor state something not true.  As we only state what's true, then karens taking down posts are well out of order. However, realpolitik dictates that they will do this. 

So, N.O. policy is to compromise this way - we are not going to post untruths on the topic, therefore we just don't print them and the olive branch is that we will also not post truths in the form of 'intentions to do', call for any action upon the miscreants, post anything speculative with no pretty conclusive evidence ... and so on.

However, we shall certainly post anything where someone says he intends to do something, i.e. he's on record as saying it.  A test example is the Austrian Chancellor.  Now, did he say that or not?  If he did, and as long as we don't debate the illness itself or call for action, then it is our duty as journos to report it.

If, on the other hand, the report is false, then we will most certainly take that item down, not the least question of that.  This site will not leave untruths up, knowing them to be such.  We are trying to be responsible here.
