Three thoughts about those interesting creatures

Wonder if we have time to fit this in before the quiz [5:30 p.m.]:

1.  Haiku first of all sent one I intensely disagree with:
"Ideally you should marry three times. The first for romance, the second for children and the third for companionship."
Nope, ideally, you should marry once at first for romance, then you reboot the franchise for children, then lastly adjust, at which point love has taken over, for companionship.

2.  At about the same time, I saw a Petersen's song and these days I don't play them on the blog but this one was amusing.  Girl says to her guy - if you go fishing again, I'll be gone by noon.  The humour is the girls singing and playing it with that look on their faces:

3.  The last is a few lines from my latest novel written about an hour ago, never mind who the characters are:

The moment he was gone, Miles asked the two of them: ‘Well?’

‘Looks good to me,’ said Jenny, Livvi concurred, then she asked, ‘How important is the cooking?’

‘Vital,’ said Miles, in all seriousness. ‘Vital. You get your way with us through your charms, you keep your way through your cooking. A man has no defences against a two-pronged attack like that.’

‘Thought so.’

  1. 3. Reminds me of an Andy Capp cartoon where Flo says it's the face powder that gets them and the baking powder that keeps them.

  2. I disagree with Haiku too. Choose right the first time and you get everything in the one package.

  3. Andy, ta. A homely homily.

Woodsy, to be fair, it was part of a journal's page he sent, not actually from him. I still agree with your sentiment though.
