Years ago, in western Russia, there was a definite overall rise in temperature which ultimately led to the first snow-less Russian winter in places, inc. my mate's town.  That phenomenon cause me, in the 2000s, to question the sceptics.

That's when I saw evidence that the hockey stick model was wrong, that there was a raging debate between CO2 and the sun as a cause of something I never had time to get into.  Then came the reports of falsified data but far worse was that the side I was tentatively supporting on the basis of the Russian experience seemed to be the Official Line and opposed to what anti-narrativists like us [in general, on most topics] were saying - the narrative in this case being Kyoto, the IPCC and Big Money - exactly the same people pushing other narratives which I was on much firmer ground debunking.

I never was sure why I'd never been able to come to a definitive position on climate, except that there was severely conflicting data, vehemently pushed and it really came down to the 'Settled Science' bullies using coercion versus the sceptical pundits and scientists.  You can understand which way my head and heart were leaning, though I myself could not deliver a lecture on the subject.

Now to this afternoon, listening to music on the ipad in bed [short snooze which turned out going for hours].  Woke up, ipad was playing a video from Sky News Oz from 2019 - not even going to start to work out why that was happening:

Quite unbeknowns to me, he was apparently a controversial figure and the reason he was wrong according to the massive global money and coercion merchants was that he was interested in divining for punic ruins in Malta it seems ...?

Ggl search is a usually reliable way to determine if someone is right or wrong - if the entire first seven pages are pretty much all one way and include people like Snopes, then you can usually form a working hypothesis that the opposite is true. And sure enough, I found this:

Where does that leave me?  Who knows, I'm still in the same position - tentatively supporting the Moerner and Watts-Up position on principle but not knowing enough about it. I simply do not trust the IPCC and Cortez [the communist Dem Rep in the States].

What it also reinforces in my mind is that trotting out charts, studies and polls these days is next to useless, if not useless.  I believe they're doctored.  An example was a misleading site called sceptical science which I was suspicious about from the get-go because Ggl had it near the top of page one.  Sure enough, the lying toerags were taking the official position, but pretending to be sceptical about something.  Underhand things like that only send me in the opposite direction.

And that's it.  My only conclusion is that I should maybe ditch the Sunday afternoon snoozes, otherwise the global cooling will be upon me whilst I'm sleeping.
