2. VE Day
a. DR mentioned it and how 'Pimpernel' Smith was a good film to mark the occasion. Yes it was but things just got away from me and so I did not specifically mark it, sorry. Just as I failed to mark my mother's death date and had to do it two days later. Yet I marked the Russian Day of Victory on the 9th.
Deeper and deeper into that hole.
b. Rationale for our links and in particular, youtubes
A fair few links, are there not? Take some going through - going through I shall, but it takes time. Thus, initially, I just take them from comments and just post, embedded, do the rest of the post writing and scheduling, do the domestic chores, have brekky, come back later after the shopping and start looking.
But until that, I don't know which to run as full vid and which to keep as links. Sometimes, in this uneasy alliance with the Man, bearing in mind we need to keep blogging, some are best left as links but just a few need to be run as full vids.
And Observer had a point in that we do have a system here which involves a bit of quid pro quo, it's working reasonably nicely ... dot dot dot.
2b (or not 2b :) ) Just adding my 2 centimes worth to the vid links debate, if indeed there is one? Sometimes links only are preferable because the vids don't always show up to view for whatever censorship is decided upon whether by the vid creator being a tad possessive about where their vids are shown or YT being awkward.

Just looked through N3 due to a comment about it. No, it’s fine, it’s not spun, it sources. Of course, the leftwing paper it quotes as the original source, it acknowleges as iffy.
