Umming and ahhing about whether to run this one. There's a certain arrogance in saying his bowl is worth that when what he means is his viewers have forked that out to view the video. Anyway, you needn't fork out so perhaps it's worth a look.
Good grief, what he did is a horrible example of oak turning. For a start the grain is wrong, not showing any figuring and could well split apart.
I was doing things like that before I went to high school on a home made lathe that I built for my father could turn decorative legs for the oak stools he made in his spare time.
In fact I still have a couple of bowls in use I turned 60 years ago.
