Here near Embra it peaked at minus 3, but beautifully sunny and slush and mud is solid and good to walk on. Here, this year as in past years, the local farmer chooses frosty days to spread his muck on the fields. I think because it gives firm going for tractor and the big load it is pulling. We can tell because of the not unpleasant smell.
We have a light dusting here in Herts, about an inch deep. It's stopped falling now.
ReplyDeleteKeep up! We had ours last week: it lasted about 36 hours.
ReplyDeleteSnowing now here in Derbyshire but only light so far. Ground is frozen so it will settle.
ReplyDeleteOn the Dorset coast it's been sunny all day (4 or 5 degrees C).
