[state quiz] which of the fifty is it

The way it works is this: 5 points if you can name the state on the first clue. If you need to highlight the second clue but you can then name the state: 4 points and so on.

NOTE ON MONDAY: Some people didn't realize they needed to highlight the blank looking lines with the mouse to reveal the clue.

So, here we go:

1. There is no sales tax and household goods are exempt from property taxes.

2. On January 20, 1954, -70 °F was recorded at a gold mining camp.

3. Its rivers form parts of three major watersheds.

4. The native Americans' last effort to keep their land was here.

5. It’s the fourth largest state in the United States.

Clue [for no points]: Hannah is not the state’s favourite daughter.

  1. Which are the northernmost, easternmost, westernmost and southernmost states of the USA?

The southernmost is Hawai'i; the northernmost, easternmost and westernmost are all Alaska.

    xD.

  2. I take that back, I feel like an idiot. Delaware is the only state I know of having no sales tax. I give up. I have to go study.

  3. Man..what high standards you have.I'm scared to comment. Are you the same guy engaged in some "blog war" exposed by a hypocritical dumpling?
What delight she takes in exposing your quarrel while pretending disapproval.

It is a cold state from the photo. Watershed might not help but coldest state should - so it's likely to be up near Canada.

Last stand of the Indians puts it towards the west. 4th largest puts it in Montana.

    Hence Hannah. :)

  5. I did think it might have been New Hampshire on the first one; the second one made me lean towards Alaska. I didn't get it as Montana, tbh.

Glad you like the Alaska one. The southernmost point of the USA as a whole is their base in Antarctica, but if we leave that aside, Alaska is obviously the northernmost, but the Aleutian Islands extend for an awfully long way... right round past 180 degrees of latitude.

    xD.

    xD.

Dearieme - Igor Panarin does not give time frame or lease price but it might have been so.
