I think one would have to consider many factors before deciding.how old one would have been, what country, social standing....for one woudl have different experiences in each decade, based on those factors alone.
I think the fashion, except for flapper's dresses, was awful in the 20's. It was all about over- consumption, mainly of alcohol, cigarettes, speakeasies, being a few years after WW1.
Women seem to have had more freedom then, than they did in the 50's, the decade that saw the over-consumption of the new 'wonder drug'Valium. Depressed houswives-the target market. That says a lot.
I did live in the 50'S but was only four when it ended and my scooter was not as high powered !
ReplyDeleteI can't quite remember either, but the 20s seem rather quaint!

I would want to go back further in time.
Guthrum - :)
ReplyDeleteCherie - 20s were quaint but ...
Uber - fair summation of the over-consumption, methinks.
I think I'll stick where I am!
ReplyDeleteThe 1920s, no Korean War, just everyone living life to the edge baby!
ReplyDeleteMy family was head of bootlegging for a certain state during Prohibition too, heh heh. Do you accept cash? *ka ching*
