  1. So they did get Wembley ready in time! Poor old Cardiff, which has done a noble job in hosting it for the past [3?] years. I used to work in the box office at Wembley during my student days.

  2. Not a trophy Birmingham are ever likely to win, I'm afraid.
Might be going to Wembley next week, btw.
    To watch Shrewsbury Town.

  3. From all I have heard today I am glad the wife made me go shopping with her rather than sit through 120 minutes of dullness.

I noticed some comments about Wembley itself today. Apparently in parts of the stadium the soft drinks ran out before kick off, then the pumps failed at half time, then the toilets went out of order.

£750m and lots of public money and public oversight and still it does not work properly. Compare and contrast Wembley with Arsenal's new stadium, built privately in a fraction of the time and even accounting for being a third smaller than Wembley, for a lot less money per seat.

  4. Welshcakes - you never cease to surprise me.

    Crushed - Shrewsbury Town?

Tony - the old, old story.
