[extraordinary rendition] nice way to travel

Call me jumpy, call me paranoid but in the light of this, I get distinctly nervy when reading this. And the words which stood out, for me, were “had been authorized”.

Now what could possibly be the connection? One involves a dog and the other – human beings. Simply this - the cavalier attitude, the pitiless dispassion, the comfort with the idea of inducing damage and discomfort in animals and ‘people reduced to animals’ for some directed purpose, often state agency required. What starts as interrogation of prisoners ends up as a tool of the state and who is immune?

Surely though, that’s only in Chile, Brazil and third world countries. You might like to read this.

  1. They were talking in the one article about universities that are supposedly on board for this sort of thing including, "Indiana Universities..." Is that supposed to mean IU, Purdue, Ball State, etc.? Or is it supposed to be just IU? I don't see what the mind control and all that has to do with extraordinary rendition. The mind control and what not seems pretty far out there to be truthful or worthwhile.
Extraordinary rendition however has been around since 1995, if I remember correctly. President Clinton started it up. There was an interview on 60 Minutes a while back talking with one of the founders of extraordinary rendition.
“He was kept in a very cold, very small cell and he was beaten; the most painful torture was . . . where electrodes were put to all sensitive parts of his body many times, under surveillance by a medical doctor.” That sounds very reminiscent of what happened to the desaprecidos of Argentina during the Dirty War in the late 70s and early 80s. Check here. It's only in Spanish though. Scheuer said [about extraordianry rendition], "But, he says, the US has little option about what to do with these prisoners. Politicians do not want terrorists brought back to US soil and dealt with in US courts. “We’re in a lot of positions around the world where we don’t have a lot of options, and sometimes you have to work with the devil.” As long as US policymakers did not decide how to deal with prisoners under the US legal system, the CIA had no choice but “do what you can with what you have”." I remeber the administration (last year, was it?) tried to get a ruling on the tribunals at Guantanamo so they could convict the guys, let them serve their sentences, and eventually leave. He had very keen words. What do you do with them since the lawmakers won't risk going near them?
Also, there's two sides to every story. In the case of Argentina, Communist revolutionaries were bombing military bases and killing people. In the case of Chile, Communist death squads were roaming the streets and killing people [from a conversation with a Chilean I had]. Allende (I wasn't alive then so I don't know if it's true) violated the Chilean constitution. Here's the thing: I don't like torture, from either side. However, how do you fight people like these Communists or these Islamists who don't really care what happens to them in this life (The reward is in the afterlife for them)? I don't have an answer to that question, sadly. Until we get that answer, who knows what will happen. Finally, if enough happens, the entire system collapses on itself and nobody (even people like you and me, James) is immune.

  2. Matt, I in no way dismiss what you say except in two respects: You say the mind control is out there on the edge of reality. Not so. Read the link about the psychologists and then go to a post of mine on the root of the trouble and the documented evidence is right there. You said it yourself - under the control of a Medical Doctor. It's connected with the military and is fed by money. This doesn't make me any less a patriot or soldier. It's just that I see what we're doing.
