Q2 on the NHS:

Q2 Choices

  1. I had online discussions with some British friends who lived in Colorado for a couple of years, and gave a running commentary on their enounters with American culture. One of the things that struck them strongly was the strange American perception of the British NHS, and their (in my friends' view mistaken) notion that the American system was superior.

My only experience of the NHS was over 40 years ago when I went to a dentist in London. It seemed to work OK then. Like anything worked by humasn beings, no doubt it leaves room for improvement.

What was the Russian health service like when you were there? When I was there in 1995 it seemed pretty putrid, and everyone I spoke to seemed to think that it had deteriorated rapidly in the early 1990s.
