I need to believe that they are not doomed by their heredity; not even to their life of cloistered privilege. He has the free will to be Free Will if he wants. I would not have blamed him if he had exercised it in favour of Kate, as his father should have done in favour of Camilla the first time.
An even more pertinent question, mutterings and meanderings, might be: "Why was the story of their breakup the top story in a mid-sized American city in Minnesota?"
I mean, good heavens...
But, um... as long as we're on the topic... how does one go about meeting an eligible prince?
