Westland Lynx - World Record
The official FAI speed record for helicopters is 400.87 km/h (249.09 mph) and was set by John Trevor Eggington with co-pilot Derek J Clews, over Glastonbury, Somerset, England on 11 August 1986 in a Westland Lynx demonstrator.

In the movies Airwolf can reach Mach 2. In real life however it can't. Airwolf was a bog standard Bell 222 that was cosmetically modified to be a Mach 2 weapons platform but was never one. The key word is cosmetically in a fictional TV show.
These sort of fantasies used to be limited to the screen, as Airwolf was, but now seems to be spilling over into real life.
