This is the sort of thing I’m banging on about, similar to a video I linked here last year from a beef and dairy farmer in England. He had relatively small herds grazing large fields which is in total contrast to the concentrated industrial beef farms. These industrial farms pen thousands of animals, feeding them soy protein so that they reach market weight faster. My personal preference would be to stick to traditional foods where available and affordable. If there are alternatives which pass muster, safe and nutritional, they could be considered.
