I'm in the process of going MacBookPro 17" and Broadband. Then I'm going to need a heap of advice from the techies.
My reasoning might seem strange - it's not for Skype or for any of the other goodies. At least initially. It's for being able to run 20 sites along the top at one time, accessed super-quickly and then to use that time to read them at leisure and comment.
Half the net time - double the time visiting. That's the plan.

Well good luck with the changeover. I hope it goes smoothly. I don't know about the Mac, although the diehard users think the rest of us are crazy. Broadband will put you in heaven initially, till you start to take it for granted.
ReplyDeleteHere the marketing people are no fools. They give you free trials for a while and then you are hooked and can't go back to dial-up which I thought was pretty neat when we moved from PC Anywhere to dial-up all those years ago.
You might say it's not for Skype now but you'll be Skyping and gTalking in no time flat. We'll all be adding you as our "friend".
Good luck

Thanks, JMB. I'm looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteYes, good luck, whatever "Macbook..." may be!
