[house of lords] your time is coming once again

How would you like to have a name like: Thomas Galloway Dunlop du Roy de Blicquy Galbraith, 2nd Baron Strathclyde? The man in the photo does and it gives one a warm feeling of solidity, of safety somehow. He’s the Lord Chancellor [I refuse to use the altered terminology] and should be one of the chief advisers to the Sovereign in this fair land.

  1. Oops James!

'Thomas Strathclyde is Leader of the Conservative Party in the House of Lords, a post he has held since 1998. He was made a Privy Councillor in 1995, and has been a member of the Shadow Cabinet since 1997.'

Wrong party! and he was sacked by Wm Hague so is not even leader in the lords.

ps & OT your 'comments' are refusing to appear again on the main page. When I went back to my question re Reagan I had to enter the full text to get your reply (thanks) - which gave me a fright when you said you had been suffering attacks over the weekend. Further reading explained all!

  3. What you say is correct as far as it goes but there is the little matter of the deal with Blair in 1999 and then again , the post did say. 'Your time is coming once again.' It's wishful thinking, explained badly.

Comments need a moniker of your choosing before or after ... no moniker, not posted, sorry.
