Wednesday too

7.  The Johns Hopkins Spars post

Coming up at 2:30 today, after the aeroplane and jazz post.

6.  Thank goodness there are good women out there

In response to this guff:

Biden Education Dept to reverse Trump-era rule critics say silenced student victims of sexual assault [The Hill]

Harmeet K. Dhillon replies:

This framing is a lie. Obama era rules denied the accused — mainly men — due process, and infantilized women.

You all know my hobbyhorse - when their attempts to split men and women fail, we [both genders] are then on the road to defeating Woke.

5.  Certain "new" dangers in flying

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/04/what_you_really_need_to_be_afraid_of_when_you_get_in_an_airplane.html

It's a good article and though I disagree with one of its conclusions, that's no reason not to look at it. I also run some personal risk today as I'm close to certain ladies, so why would I make a rod for my own back, leading to a "friendship divorce" by the fairer sex?

Yet I must press ahead as you know. There are various factors to be weighed and balanced in this and if I shift the discussion to why I, personally, would or would not get onto a plane with a lady pilot, then that's my choice and mine alone.  Ditto with you in your case.  Perhaps we can start at the article's start:

I have a friend who is fearful of commercial airlines.

Wednesday

3.  Dolores Cahill revisited

If you go back to that post:

https://nourishingobscurity.blogspot.com/2021/04/dolores-cahill.html

... it was left up in the air with me refining the search DR provided:

https://people.ucd.ie/dolores.cahill

My conclusion is that the MSM article was defamation, she is very much involved in the field, though not specifically on this vaccine or that - but she was certainly inside the medical buildings.  Against that, as with any doctor's estimates at a crime scene, the question is the quality of the opinion.  Plus she's an SJW all right - only on "our" side.

Therefore, her warning about scenarios in that yellow screenshot should be taken as seriously as any other.  it should at least give pause to anyone contemplating getting the poison jab.

2.  Reply to the map of Africa

I didn't pay it too much attention but some new citizen of a certain colour perhaps trotted out a colonial map of Africa and which Euro nations had what.  This was some wag's reply:

AlphaGO

Not the slightest clue what any of this from haiku is about:

So I looked it up and now have a rough idea:

That's about all I can offer.

Robert Allen Zimmerman

Never really liked him as a person, too many pratty things, full of himself ... and yet many of his songs were superb ... not as meaningless in the lyrics as once thought.  Of course - which three of his vast repertoire?

Well, if the covers are just as famous if not more - then not those.  If too overtly wailing or an opus magnum like a rolling stone - not those either.  This choice is always going to be controversial but then again - so is Bob Dylan.

Again, there are no visuals of note, so the songs are loaded this way.  Hope you remember and enjoy.

Think I prefer the raconteur style of song he writes ... each to his or her own.

Dolores Cahill

Perfect example of whom to believe or not, distressingly so.  It's all about disputed bona fides.  Is she actually a professor and if so, what of?  What specifically, because there is certainly doubt for any coming to this topic cold, not having made a decision and not knowing the woman.

The garish yellow pamphlet below [had to chop off the header as it spelt her name wrongly] is a worry in the way it's presented ... and yet:

That's the whole text, just the photo and her misspelt name is not there.  Not encouraging.  it obviously turns on her bona fides, does it not? Again - what is she professor of?

If you try to get it from official records, these have a habit in so many cases of being altered later, deleted etc.  There is an MSM article on her:

https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/arid-40247363.html

The dead giveaway there is calling the Freedom Party far right.  The instant they start with that rhetoric, one knows whom one's dealing with and we know about the MSM already  [posts passim many times over here].

It also cuts no ice that so many students said she had no standing - how on earth can they know that?  Unless they were instructed by their teachers. So far, I see no hard evidence of her bona fides, one way or the other.  In fact, the whole thing is shoddy.

So, on that basis, I'm not pursuing it unless trusted sources on our side can establish something, anything about her.

The Lark Ascending

Not crazy for Classic FM any more - something quite M25 Woke bubble about them but a poll is a poll I suppose:

Worth at least a listen:

Thing I'm getting this youtube loading sorted.  If the visuals are the most important part, or at least equal to the sound, then I'll run the html embedded version.  If the sound is the main thing, then it will be loaded like this.
