The thorniest secular-political question of all. Looking longterm, maybe over a few centuries, then borders do settle down into a pattern.  Calais is obviously French, though St Malo asserts Bretagne loyalties.  Fine, fine, so do the Basque region, the Canaries, the Home Countries, Kernow ... there's Flanders across the way ... I don't see the issue.

There are always going to be semi-autonomous regions or zones, e.g. German Shepherd-Quiche region, Lapland is unclear up there ... my contention is so bleedin' what?  There does have to be a major "protector land" nearby ... for Nauru and Bougainville, it is Australia.  Scotland can have its assembly if it wants but it goes only so far.

Run some hypotheticals ... am I seriously going to support a Yorkshire war against Wessex or the West Country?  The whole thing's too bleedin' ludicrous for words.  There's some middle ground and it requires respect from any federated govt, plus other regions ... defined powers for regions, defined for the federal.

Outlying territories come into all this too.  What I can't see is what the issue is.  Issues seem beat-ups to me.  What I really can't understand is how a man can have as his moniker Stop the EU but then run the Ukrainian flag???  Seems bizarre if he's British.  Or English. And as for this cuckoo nest EU excrescence ... what has that to do with anything except traitors?  Even NI has clear borders which settled down after the Good Friday. Why stir it up?
