12. Harvest festival
In the never-ending quest for viable organs, doctors have found a way around brain death and circulatory death criteria. Transplant centers around the country are removing organ donors from life support, clamping off the blood flow to their brains, and then restarting their hearts. Thus, the organs are resuscitated and viable for transplant, but the person doesn't wake up.
Interestingly, Toodles said something about this earlier:
'Why would I not donate my organs for someone who needs them?" they would ask.
I would say because you need them.
I had a feeling that medics in any capacity would not work hard, if at all, reviving or helping heal me, knowing about my potential 'gifts' to science and the money all of that would generate!
I asked the person at the preregistraion desk after she quizzed me about donating my organs....if she donated her organs!
She said, 'No way!!!!!'

Did you follow the blogger Anna Raccoon? She argued, rather persuasively, that many of the Savile accusations were demonstrably false. (I don't think that she suggested that they were all false though.) Still, the false ones must have proved a nice little earner.
